ABOUT CAREER ASSESSMENT

 

 

Vocational success depends on interest, job readiness, and the ability to perform the work.  Career Assessment seeks to aid the student in preparing for a career by suggesting realistic alternatives and courses of action.

 

Services of the Richmond Career Assessment Center are available to Middle and High School students attending schools or programs within the Richmond Public Schools District.  Referral for services should originate with the student’s home school following established procedures.  Although available to all students, priority will be given to those receiving Exceptional Education Services.

 

                                            CAREER ASSESSMENT OPTIONS:  

 

GROUP ASSESSMENT

Assists the students in determining level of career awareness and job preferences. 

Emphasis is upon finding potential rather than existing vocational skills.    

Screening assessments of an hour or less to include:

 

                                                             -  Goals and work environment preferences

                                                                     -   Interest exploration

                                                                     -   Learning style inventory
